As a professional, I would like to think that I am a prepared professional ready to make a difference in every child's life. I want my classroom to be built around every child and their culture. I want to make every child and their family feel as though their child's education is built around their cultures and beliefs. Family is the most important aspect of a child's life and what a family has for a child to learn is the most important thing in a child's developmental path.
One goal I would like to have for myself is to learn about other cultures and to incorporate this into my curriculum. I want families to understand that they are important to the educational program and what they are teaching their children at home is followed up by a classroom full of their cultural background and new experiences to build a life time of learning.
I would like to thank all of my colleagues for everything you have contributed to this course. I have learned so much from each of you and I wish you good luck in your future endeavors.
You made some valid points for your students and your classroom. I too would like to bring culture into my classroom and build upon culture in the classroom not only to make the children feel comfortable in my environment, but also to educate myself.
